 Graphic processing unit is also known as (GPU). Central processing unit (CPU).

GPU have more core than CPU and hence when it comes to parallel computing of data , GPU perform exceptionally better than CPU even though GPU has lower clock speeds and it lacks several core management features as compared to the CPU.

● Only About Graphic processing unit 
Has became one of the most important type of computing technology ,both for personal and  Business computing designed for parallel processing ,the GPU is used the a wide range of applications including graphics and video rendering. 
● About CPU.
Central processing unit (CPU) It is the part of a computer system that Carrie's out the instruction of a computer program, to perform the basic arithmetical, logical and input/output operation of the system.The CPU is also known as the brain of the computer .The speed of CPU depend upon the type of microprocessor used and it is measured in mega Hertz (MHz).

● Two typical component of a CPU are Arithmetic Logic unit and control unit .

 1.Arithmetic Logic Unit. 

An Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) is a digital circuit that performs arithmetic and logical operation .The ALU is a fundamental building block of the central processing unit of the computer. 
ALU uses register to hold the data that is being processed. Most ALUs can perform the following operations.

1) Logical Operation ( AND, NOT , OR , XOR )

2) Arithmetic Operation (ADDITION , SUBTRACTION,  MULTIPLICATION AND DECISIONS)

3) Bit - shifting operation (Shifting or rotating a word by specified number of bits to the left or right , with or without sign extension).

4) Comparison Operation (=,<,<=,>,>=)

2) Control unit .
 It coordinates the input and output device of a computer system . Control Unit (CU) Fetches the instructions which are given in the form of micro - program . It direct the operation of the unit by providing timing and control signal . It general , CU is a central part of the computer  that control its operation and entire processing . 
The control unit is the circuit that control the flow of data through the processor and coordinates the activities of the other unit within it . Control unit acts like human nerves system , which does not process data but behaves as a central unit for other data manipulating components.
